Sushi is popular worldwide. Nigiri and Maki are commonly known, but there are many different types of Sushi.
Chirashi, Oshi, Inari, Temaki, Chakin and Gomoku can be found easily in Japan. Also there are different types of sushi from local areas in Japan – Sake (酒寿司) from Kagoshima, Saba (鯖寿司) from the Kyoto/Osaka area, etc. Sushi is often eaten as a celebration food.
